The Canton Vercel-Villedieu-le-Camp was until 2015 a French canton in the department of Doubs and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 28 parishes in the Arrondissement of Pontarlier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Vercel-Villedieu-le-Camp . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Léon Bessot was last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 2004 to 2015.
On January 1, 2009, the canton was detached from the Arrondissement Besançon and incorporated into the Arrondissement Pontarlier .
