The canton of L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs was 2015 a French canton in the department of Doubs and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 24 communities in the arrondissement of Montbéliard ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Rémy Nappey was the last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 2001 to 2015.
