The Canton Besancon-1 is a French constituency in the Doubs department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It covers part of the city of Besançon and six other municipalities in the arrondissement of Besançon . During the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was newly created in 2015 with Besançon as the main town (French: bureau centralisateur ).
