The Canton of Levier was 2015 a French canton in the department of Doubs and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 15 parishes in the Arrondissement of Pontarlier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Levier . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Pierre Gurtner from 2001 to 2015.
