The Canton Sochaux Grand Charmont was 2015 a French canton in the department of Doubs and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised four parishes in the arrondissement of Montbéliard ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Sochaux . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Noël Gauthier from 2001 to 2015.
