The Canton Morteau is a French canton in the department of Doubs in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It includes 25 communities in the arrondissement of Pontarlier and has its main town (French: bureau centralisateur ) in Morteau . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was significantly expanded in spring 2015.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Morteau included the seven municipalities of Grand'Combe-Châteleu , Les Combes , Les Fins , Les Gras , Montlebon , Morteau and Villers-le-Lac . Its layout corresponded to an area of 150.97 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2516.
