The District of Le Russey was 2015 a French canton in the department of Doubs and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It included 22 parishes in the Arrondissement of Pontarlier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Le Russey . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Gilles Robert was last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 2011 to 2015.
On January 1, 2009, the canton was detached from the Arrondissement of Montbéliard and incorporated into the Arrondissement of Pontarlier .
