The canton of Montbéliard-Ouest was a French canton in the Doubs department from 1973 to 2015 and in what was then the Franche-Comté region . It comprised 19 parishes in the arrondissement of Montbéliard ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Montbéliard . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Pierre Helias from 1998 to 2015.
