Frasne [ fʀɑːɴ ] is a French commune with 1,936 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Doubs in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It is the main town (chef-lieu) of the canton of the same name in the arrondissement of Pontarlier and belongs to the Frasne - Drugeon (CFD) community.

The community is 19 kilometers west-southwest of the city of Pontarlier . The neighboring municipalities are: Bonnevaux , Bouverans , Dompierre-les-Tilleuls , Boujailles and Courvières (Doubs) and Bief-du-Fourg ( Jura ).
