Bluzger
The Bluzger or Blutzger was a low-value Swiss or Bündner billon coin , which was used from 1503 to the end of the 18th century by the bishop and the city of Chur , in the 17th and 18th centuries by the Haldenstein rule and in the early 18th century also for a short time the Freiherrschaft Reichenau and Appenzell Innerrhoden . As the successor to the Three Leagues , the canton of Graubünden also issued Bluzger worth one sixth of a Batzen from 1807 to 1842 .
The coin had the so-called Bluzgerkreuz in its mint and could therefore easily be confused with the more valuable cruiser .
In the 18th century, according to the Johann Jacob Leus Lexikon , the Bluzger was worth 3 pfennigs or three quarters of schillings , and 70 Bluzger came to 1 guilder ; According to Franz Joseph Stalder's dictionary, in the early 17th century it corresponded to half a plappart , and according to the Helvetic calendar of 1784, 5 bluzgers went to 1 lump . In 1831, according to the Davos Landbuch, 4 Bluzger 1 Schilling or 70 Bluzger 1 Gulden.
