Boštjan Mervar

Boštjan Mervar (born September 22, 1973 ) is a former Slovenian cyclist .

Boštjan Mervar started his career in 1997 with the Slovenian cycling team KRKA-Telekom Slovenije . He celebrated his first victory in 1998 with the stage success at the ÖBV Classic . A year later he won the prologue of the Tour of Slovenia . He also won stages at the Jadranska Magistrala , the Tour of Austria and the Uniqa Classic and the one-day races Grand Prix Krka , Poreč Trophy and Raiffeisen Grand Prix . In 2004 he drove for a year for Formaggi Pinzolo , where he won a section of the Circuit de Lorraine and competed in the Giro d'Italia . From 2005 he drove again for the Continental Team Perutnina Ptuj . In 2006 he was successful at the Grand Prix Kranj and the Grand Prix Palma in Slovakia and ended his professional career at the end of the year.
