Bo Arne Vibenius

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bo Arne Vibenius (born March 29, 1943 in Solna , Stockholm County ) is a Swedish film director who became famous for brutal and scandalous exploitation films .

Life

His strip Thriller - a merciless film (original title: Thriller - en grym film ) from 1973 with Christina Lindberg made him internationally known, especially because even the casual Swedish censorship massively cut it. Quentin Tarantino was later inspired by the revenge story of a tormented woman . Moviepilot calls the film the "crown jewel of the Swedish sensational film, a monument of immorality, violence and perversion".

In 2002 Synapse Films bought the worldwide distribution rights and in 2004 sold an uncut DVD for the first time . Vibenius reacted again eccentrically, felt betrayed and raged against the company.

Breaking Point from 1975 was more of a porn with a thriller.
