Bob Meyers
Robert Roderick "Bob" Meyers (born August 11, 1924 in Edmonton , Alberta ; † March 22, 2014 ibid) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the 1952 Winter Olympics , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Bob Meyers represented Canada with the Edmonton Mercurys at the Oslo Winter Olympics in 1952 . He then completed a three-month test match tour through Europe with his team.
International
For Canada , Meyers took part in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo , where he and his team won the gold medal. He played two games and scored two goals in the 13-3 win over Finland .
