Bob White (ice hockey player)
Robert Charles "Bob" White (born July 22, 1935 in Stratford , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
White began his career as a hockey player in the Junior Ontario Hockey Association, where he was active from 1951 to 1955 for the Barrie Flyers and Kitchener Canucks . He then moved to the senior division of the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen, with whom he represented Canada at the 1956 Winter Olympics. After the tournament he played for the Dutchmen for another year. From 1957 to 1960 he attended the University of Michigan , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel to his studies. From 1960 to 1962 he ran for the Windsor Bulldogs from the Senior Ontario Hockey Association before ending his ice hockey career at the age of 27.
International
For Canada , White took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
