Bobby Bones , actually Bobby Estell (born April 2, 1980 in Hot Springs , Arkansas ) is an American radio presenter and entertainer. His workdays emitted Bobby Bones Show with country music is the oldest US widespread radio show. The show is produced by WSIX-FM in Nashville , Tennessee .

Bobby Estell was born to Pamela Hurt and a 17-year-old unknown father. His mother was 15 years old when she became pregnant. He was raised in the small community of Mountain Pine , Arkansas with his mother and grandmother. His biological father lived with the family until Estell was five years old, but then disappeared. Estell grew up in poor conditions in a trailer park and saw a radio career as a way out of his situation. He started with 17 years at the college radio of Henderson State University , KSWH-FM 91.1. He holds a BA in Radio / Television from Henderson University in 2002.

After working for many US broadcasters, he is now under contract with iHeartMedia . Since 2011, the Bobby Bones Show has been broadcast across the US on Premiere Networks and broadcast on more than 85 country radio stations. In 2014 Bones was named "National On-air Personality of the Year". The readers of The Tennessean in 2013, 2014 and 2015 voted him “Best Radio DJ” .
