The Tiefensee post mill is a post mill built in 1847 in the Tiefensee district of Bad Düben .

history

The mill was built in the Delitzsch district in 1847 and moved to its current location in Tiefensee around 1900 . It has been powered by an external diesel engine since 1926, and an electric motor was added in 1940. Grain was ground and crushed until it was finally closed in 1953. From 1992 to 1994 the mill was extensively reconstructed. The mill is in the 4th generation of the family owned by the baker Sommerfeld from Tiefensee and is now operated as a foam mill.
