Bodhan is a city in the Indian state of Telangana .
The city is part of the Nizamabad District . Bodhan has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 35 wards . It had 77,573 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census , of which 38,651 were men and 38,922 were women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 74.3%, slightly below the national average for cities. Muslims make up the majority of the city's population with a share of just over 50%. Hindus form a minority with a share of around 47%.
