Hessenmühle is a district of the Aurachtal municipality in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland consists of three residential buildings and five auxiliary buildings. It is located on the Middle Aurach . The Tonwald borders in the south and the Zugberg to the southwest. A residential path leads 100 meters further north to state road 2244 near Falkendorf . The Franconian Marienweg runs past the wasteland .

history

At the end of the 18th century, Hessenmühle consisted of one property. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach . The landlord of the mill was the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Monastery Office Münchaurach . At that time it was used as a grinding mill.

As part of the community edict, Hessenmühle was assigned to the Münchaurach tax district, which was formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Falkendorf, founded in 1813 .

On January 1, 1972, Falkendorf was incorporated into the newly formed municipality of Aurachtal as part of the regional reform .

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The inhabitants of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Peter and Paul (Münchaurach) .
