In the west the forest area Bannholz borders, in the east the forest area Fichtach. In the north is the Langer Strich corridor area. history

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 2 properties in Nankenhof. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach . The Brandenburg-Bayreuth Monastery Office Münchaurach was the landlord of both properties (2 half courtyards).

As part of the community edict, Nankenhof was assigned to the Münchaurach tax district, formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Falkendorf, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was changed to the rural community Münchaurach.

On January 1, 1972, Münchaurach was incorporated into the newly formed Aurachtal community as part of the regional reform .
