Bodo Bach is a fictional person invented in 1994 by radio presenter and comedian Robert Treutel (born October 25, 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) and since then made nationally known. The New Hessian Regiolekt and a Batschkapp are characteristic of the joke .

Career

The figure of Bodo Bach first became known through joke calls broadcast by the radio station FFH . The introductory sentence “I would like to have a problem”, with which each of his phone calls began, in order to subsequently drive the person he was talking to into despair, became the trademark. He often ended the conversation with the words “I hate myself!” He has now had over 1,500 such conversations.

In addition, he often appears in the advice teams for the broadcasts strassenstars und dings vom dach on hr-fernsehen (Hessischer Rundfunk) and master of everyday life on SWR . His joke calls and other comedy stories have been published on several CDs, including parodies of well-known personalities such as Rudolph Moshammer and Lothar Matthäus .

In 2001 Bodo Bach got his own TV show on Sat.1 with the title Bodo Bach - Laughing on a Call , which is the highlight of his career so far. From 2003 to 2006 he toured with his comedy program Grinskram in over 160 performances, according to his own statement, "worldwide through Germany". On November 18, 2006 another tour through Germany began with the program 4-tel nach Bach . With this program, in contrast to previous programs, he telephoned live. The viewers were then able to hand in telephone numbers on site, which he sometimes even called. After the prank, he invited many of his “telephone victims” to his next appearance near the “victim”.

In 2008 he was invited to the Arosa Humor Festival . He also appeared in the show Do you understand fun? as a reporter interviewing stars and targeting them a little in public, for example in a large Cologne pedestrian zone. Bodo Bach got his first role as an actor in the television film Das Musikhotel am Wolfgangsee .

Private

Treutel has been married to Gerda Treutel since 1987 and has a son (* 1987) whom he likes to incorporate into his stage programs under the name 'Rüdiger'.
