Bodo von Hopfgarten

Bodo Eduard Ernst von Hopfgarten (born December 13, 1808 in Graudenz , West Prussia province , † after 1862) was a German history , genre and portrait painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Coming from Glatz or Breslau ( Province of Silesia ) von Hopfgarten attended the second painting class under Theodor Hildebrandt at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1832 to 1839 . From 1841 to 1863 he worked as a drawing teacher at the pedagogy of the monastery Our Dear Women in Magdeburg .

Von Hopfgarten created a portrait of the Düsseldorf scholar Johann Friedrich Benzenberg in 1834 .
