Bodong E (tib. Bo dong e ) or Bodong Gönpa Monastery was founded by Kadampa Geshe Mudra Chenpo ( bka 'dams pa dge bshes mu tra chen po ) in 1049 . It is located in the Xigazê (Shigatse) administrative district of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .
It was the place of activity of Pang Lotsawa Lodrö Tenpa ( dpang lo tsa ba blo gros brtan pa ; 1276–1342) and Bodong Penchen Chogle Namgyel (1376–1451).
