The Boetitsa Point (English; Bulgarian нос Боерица nos Boeriza ) is a rocky headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . As an extension of the Atlantic Club Ridge, it protrudes 0.73 km south of Cape Hespérides and 0.88 km north-northeast of Ballester Point into the South Bay . It was exposed at the beginning of the 21st century when the Contell Glacier retreated .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 1996 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after the village of Boeriza in western Bulgaria .
