The Boesmans River ( Afrikaans / English ; also Bushman's River ; Afrikaans: Boesmansrivier ; German as: "Bushman River" or " San -flow") is a river in the South African province of Eastern Cape (Eastern Cape). Two rivers in the South African provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape have the same name.

The Boesmans River has its source north of Kirkwood in the Suurberge Mountains. It flows eastward through Alicedale , takes in the New Year's River there and then turns in numerous turns southeast. He passes the Shamgari Game Reserve and the Kikuyu Lodge Game Reserve . Around 33 kilometers from the mouth, the river becomes an estuary . It flows into the Indian Ocean between Boesmansriviermond and Kenton-on-Sea . The estuary is just a little southwest of the mouth of the Kariega River .

The New Year's River is dammed by the New Year's Dam, which supplies Alicedale with drinking water.
