Bogna Koreng

Bogna Koreng ( Upper Sorbian Bogna Korjeńkowa ; * 1965 in Bautzen ) is a Sorbian journalist and presenter.

Bogna Koreng grew up bilingual in Radibor . After graduating from high school, she began studying German . She then worked for two years as a teacher and choir director at the Sorbian Extended High School (today's Sorbian Gymnasium ) in Bautzen. Her career at Sorbian Radio began in 1992 when she worked there as a freelancer. Since 2001 she has been the presenter of the Upper Sorbian television program Wuhladko , and since 2003 she has also been studio manager of the MDR in Bautzen.

In 2003, the program received the 3rd prize at the international radio and television festival of national minorities, in which more than 60 European ethnic groups took part, which was presented to Bogna Koreng.

Today Koreng lives with her family in Panschwitz-Kuckau . She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Sorbian People in the 2015–2019 election period .
