Boguszyce-Rzędów (German: Randowshof) is a ruined castle in the village of Bogschütz in Lower Silesia .

history

The former castle was located on what was then Gut Bogschütz , which had belonged to the von Randow family since the 18th century . Randowshof Palace was built in the early 19th century. After 1945, numerous Polish resettlers families lived here (→ Poland's shift to the west ) who did not care about its preservation. So over the years it deteriorated to such an extent that it was emptied and all entrances walled up.

Waldemar von Randow fled with his family and 76 farm workers and their families when the Red Army approached in 1944 . What remained were 210 cattle, 11 teams , 3 tractors and 400 pigs, as well as the entire family archive of the von Randow family. He died of the consequences of his escape in Passau on September 3, 1945.
