Deutsches Familienarchiv is the name of a genealogical-historical series of publications that has been published by Degener & Co. Since 1952 . is issued. This specialist publisher for genealogy , heraldry and history was founded in Leipzig in 1910 and in 2005 moved its headquarters from Neustadt an der Aisch to Insingen near Rothenburg ob der Tauber .

In the German Family Archives, specialist authors as well as private individuals publish works on family research with lists of ancestors , lists of descendants , combinations of both, local histories or detailed family histories, very often combined with descriptions of the respective historical or cultural-historical background and other details of interest to genealogists and historians .
Through the broad distribution of this series of publications to private researchers and subscribers and through collection in university libraries , other libraries and archives , with genealogical associations and private researchers, the actual goal of securing the published family histories and ancestral lists in the long term is achieved.
In the 160 volumes, each with around 300 pages and many plates, that have been published since it was founded, there are around 80,000 family names.
