elements

The boho style, which owed much to the hippie styles of the mid and late 1960s, was made particularly popular through Sienna Miller's appearance at the 2004 Glastonbury Festival , although some features were recognized as early as 2003 photos of her and others who lived in and around the London borough of North Kensington lived, became visible. By the summer of 2005, boho was ubiquitous in parts of London and found its way into almost every UK shopping street. His followers were occasionally referred to as "Siennas", which was sometimes even true of Sienna Miller herself, when, for example, "Sienna's Sienna-ishness" was mentioned. The characteristics of the style included loose-fitting, mostly long and white skirts, fur jackets, embroidered tunics , short-cut jackets, large belts, sheepskin boots and cowboy boots, puffed cardigans and handbags called "hobo bags". The demand for the fashion style was so great that the following year some suppliers were accused of using child labor in the production of embroidery to meet demand. Footless tights or leggings, which Miller preferred, halved sales of knee socks in the UK from 2003 to 2007.

Designer

British fashion designers Matthew Williamson and Alice Temperley , among others, were called boho-chic designers . In keeping with the style, Williamson created flowing dresses with embroidery and butterfly motifs.

Boho trends

Sienna Miller in the early 2000s

Sienna Miller's relationship and intermittent engagement to actor Jude Law, with whom she starred in the film Alfie, kept both her and the style of her dress in media headlines in 2004 and 2005. The fashion magazine Vogue put her on its cover as "the girl of the year". Later, the end of her relationship with Law (which temporarily revived in 2009-2010) seemed to symbolize that boho had peaked too.
