Boiorix
Boiorix († 101 BC near Vercellae ) was a king of the Cimbri tribe . He led the Cimbri from their original area on the North Sea south to find new settlement land. His greatest success was the crushing victory over the Romans at Arausio in 105 BC. Some years earlier, 113 BC. BC, he had been able to defeat them at Noreia . Later, in 101 BC However, he was defeated in Vercellae by Gaius Marius . He himself fell in battle.
