Bolívar Echeverría

Bolívar Echeverría (born February 2, 1941 in Riobamba ; † June 5, 2010 in Mexico City ) was an Ecuadorian - Mexican scientist , philosopher and writer with a focus on critical theory and cultural philosophy .

Echeverría studied from 1962 to 1966 at the Free University of Berlin for the Magister Artium in Philosophy, received the Licentiate ( Licenciatura ) in Philosophy at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico in 1974 , there the Magister ( Maestría ) in Economics in 1991 and in 1997 the PhD degree in philosophy. From 1973 he worked at UNAM, since 1988 as adjunct professor at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras: Faculty of Philosophy and Cultural Studies ("Philologies").
