Bałdynko (German Bollinken ) is a location in the Szczecin district of Golęcino (German Frauendorf ). Bałdynko is located in the northern district of Północ, northwest of the old town on the western bank of the West or opposite the Swantestrom, which flows off to Dammschen Lake .

history

The place was given to the Cistercian convent in Stettin in 1311, known as Boldin , by Duke Otto I of Pomerania . The income from the village, the jug and the water mill were to be used for the construction of the monastery building. Otto I. and his son Barnim III. confirmed this award several times in the following decades. Before the introduction of the Reformation , Bollinken belonged to the parish of the Stettiner Peter and Paul Church , later the place was parish to Frauendorf.

Bollinken was originally a fishing village. In the 19th century there was an increase in population with the establishment of factories in Züllchow and Bredow. In 1865 the place had 323 inhabitants together with the Bodenberg forestry. With the advent of steam shipping on the Oder, Bollinken, like the neighboring Frauendorf, became a popular destination for the better-off Szczecin population.

Bollinken was later incorporated into Frauendorf and in 1939 came from the Randow district to the Szczecin district. After the transition to Poland, the place was named Bałdynko .
