Bom Princípio , officially Portuguese Município de Bom Princípio , is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul . In 2010 it had 11,789 inhabitants. The population was estimated to be 13,846 as of July 1, 2018.
It bears the city nickname Land of Strawberries (Portuguese Terra do moranguinho ). On May 12, 1982 it was raised to an independent Munizip. The distance to the state capital Porto Alegre is 76 km.
