The Bomford Peak is a 1,140 m high mountain on the south coast of South Georgia . He is the highest elevation in the center between the Wilson Harbor and the Cheapman Bay lying peninsula .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the mountain between 1951 and 1957. It is named after Anthony Gerald Bomford (1927–2003) of the Royal Engineers , who was in charge of the survey between 1955 and 1956.
