The Bonaberi was a boat used by the Woermann shipping company in the German colony of Cameroon .
history
The Bonaberi was built in Hamburg in 1911 . Its name comes from the district of the same name in the city of Duala in Cameroon. The Bonaberi belonged to the Woermann line in Hamburg. She was used by the shipping company on the coast of Cameroon.
When the First World War broke out in August 1914 , the boat was makeshiftly prepared as a mine- layer in Duala in September 1914 and equipped with sea mines .
Nothing is known about the further whereabouts of the Bonaberi .
