Bonnie Greer

Bonnie Greer , OBE (born November 16, 1948 in Chicago ) is an American-British writer , playwright and critic . She is also Chancellor of Kingston University .

After studying with David Mamet , she moved to Great Britain in 1986 , where she received British citizenship nine years later . In addition to her artistic work, she was committed to opening up cultural life to minorities. In 2005 she was appointed to the Board of Directors of the British Museum , and in 2009 was appointed Vice President of the Museum by Prime Minister Gordon Brown . In 2010 she was awarded the Order of the British Empire . From 2011 to 2015 she was also President of the Brontë Society .

She has been Chancellor of Kingston University since 2013.

2019 it was included in the anthology New Daughters of Africa by Margaret Busby added.
