The Booser Eiffel Tower near Boos in the Vulkaneifel is a 25 meter high observation tower . About five kilometers southeast of the Nürburgring , on the east side of the Booser Doppelmaar in the nature reserve "Booser Maar", it offers a panoramic view over the Eifel to the Westerwald (northeast across the Rhine ) and to the Hunsrück (southeast across the Moselle ).
The tower was built in 2003 on the 557 m high Schneeberg near Boos. It has a triangular base and consists of 42 solid meters of Douglas fir , which rest on a concrete foundation. The ascent to the roofed viewing platform at a height of 21.5 meters is via a wooden staircase with a total of 125 steps and eight intermediate landings.
