Alfred Schomisch (CDU) has been the mayor of the Vordereifel community since January 1, 2017. In the direct election on June 12, 2016, he was elected for an eight-year term with 70.53% of the votes. Schomisch is the successor to Gerd Heilmann (CDU), who did not run again.
