Siebenbach is a municipality in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Vordereifel , which has its administrative headquarters in Mayen .
geography
Siebenbach lies at 500 m above sea level. NHN west of Mayen near the Hohe Acht , the highest mountain in the Eifel ( 746.9 m above sea level ), on the B 412 from Döttingen via Kempenich to Wehr (Eifel) .
The St. Georg and Siebenbacher Mühle residential areas also belong to Siebenbach.
history
Siebenbach belonged to the Königsfeld dominion , which came to the Baron Waldbott von Bassenheim at the beginning of the 17th century .
After 1792, French revolutionary troops had taken the so-called Left Bank of the Rhine . After the introduction of the French administrative structures, Siebenbach belonged to the canton of Virneburg in the Rhine-Moselle department from 1798 to 1814 . Due to the agreements made at the Congress of Vienna (1815), the region came under the Kingdom of Prussia . Siebenbach came to the mayor's office of Virneburg in the district of Adenau, established in 1816, of the Koblenz administrative district, and from 1822 to the Rhine province .

The municipal council in Siebenbach consists of six council members who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary local mayor as chairman.

Helmut Schmitt became the local mayor of Siebenbach in 2019. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was elected for five years with a share of 65.79% of the vote. Helmut Schmitt's predecessor was Walter Kuhl, who held the office for almost 30 years.

Infrastructure
The responsible primary school is in Herresbach , the responsible Catholic parish in Kaltenborn . There is a village community center and a brass band called Musikvereinigung Hohe-Acht, whose members come from Siebenbach and the neighboring communities of the Hohe Acht .
