Draft coat of arms: A. Friderichs, Zell / Mosel. |
|
Justification for the coat of arms: The wavy bar symbolizes the Elzbach . The coin commemorates the discovery of an important Carolingian coin treasure in 1957 in the former community forest in the Pilligerheck, which now belongs to Keldung , a district of Münstermaifeld . The temple points to the many Roman finds in the vicinity of Pillig, in particular to the remains of buildings in the “Sandwiese” district and west of the church. |
