Boris Beck

Boris Beck (born August 17, 1973 ) is a former German basketball player . During his career, the 2.17 meter tall center player played for TV Langen in the basketball league  and for several second division teams .

career

Beck comes from Hamburg , where he started playing basketball in the spring of 1989. In 1990/1991 Beck played at Broadneck High School in the US state of Maryland . He was appointed to the squad of the junior national team and moved to TV Langen in the basketball Bundesliga for the 1991/92 season , where he played alongside Denis Wucherer , Carsten Heinichen  and Tim Nees  , among others . With the club, he was relegated to the 2nd basketball division in 1992 and stayed in Langen until 1996.

Beck went to the second division club DJK Würzburg for the 1996/97 season, and one of his teammates was the future NBA star Dirk Nowitzki . He later played with Nuremberg, Ansbach and Rattelsdorf for other second division clubs.
