Boris Kočí (born October 9, 1964 in Příbram ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .
Player career
Kočí began playing football at UD Příbram, in 1985 he moved to the 1st division at Sparta Prague . He was not part of the regular team and had 17 missions in two years. From 1988 to 1990 the midfielder played for the Prague second division club Xaverov . He then returned to the first division and joined FC Bohemians Prague , where he played regularly.
In early 1993 Kočí moved to Slovan Liberec , after the 1995/96 season, which he spent with his former youth club FC Příbram in the 2nd division , he ended his professional career. He played in the amateur field for SK Český Brod and SK Horní Měcholupy.
Coaching career
Kočís first coaching station were from 1996 to 1999 the juniors of the Prague club FSC Libuš. In the summer of 1999 he took over the juniors from Slavia Prague , in October he was coach of the Slavia B team in the third division of the ČFL, after a year he was dismissed. In early 2001, the former midfielder was coached by fourth division club FC Rokycany, and in October 2002 he was sacked.
A few days later he was hired as assistant coach of the first division club FC Viktoria Pilsen and at the same time took over the B team in the ČFL. In January 2004 he moved to the B team of Sparta Prague . In autumn 2005 he was assistant coach with the professionals of Sparta, in January 2006 he returned as head coach of the B-team.
For the 2006/07 season Kočí took over the coaching position at the second division club FK Baník Sokolov , but was dismissed in September due to poor results. In January 2008 Stanislav Griga brought him to Viktoria Žižkov as assistant coach . For the 2009/10 season he was assistant coach at FC Baník Ostrava .
