Boris Nikolajewitsch Sidorow ( Russian Борис Николаевич Сидоров , scientific transliteration Boris Nikolaevič Sidorov ; born August 31, 1937 in Prokopjewsk ; † August 6, 2008 near Apscheronsk ) was a Russian chess composer .

Sidorov had a difficult childhood. His parents were subjected to reprisals. He was unsupervised for a long time and then grew up in a children's home. There he learned to play chess . After moving to Apsheronsk in 1958, he became city master and fulfilled the standard for the master craftsman . Mainly he turned to study composition , whereby from 1963 he published more than 300 tasks, in addition to studies and chess problems, which won dozens of prizes. He often cooperated with other chess composers, including Oleg Pervakov , which Sidorov was particularly pleased with.

Private

Sidorow was a sewing machine mechanic. After a traffic accident on June 18, 2008, he lost consciousness and died.
