BorsodChem is a Hungarian chemical company. The main plant in Kazincbarcika ( Hungarian Borsodi Vegyi Kombinát , BVK) was founded in 1949. From 1963 PVC was produced. MDI and TDI have also been produced since 1990 and 2000 respectively .
The company has other plants in Ostrava ( MCHZ ) and Kędzierzyn-Koźle ( Petrochemia-Blachownia ).
In 2007, Permira bought BorsodChem . The company sold this to the Wanhua Industrial Group in 2011 .
