Borut Puc (born January 19, 1991 in Bjelovar ) is a Slovenian - Croatian tennis player .
Career
Puc was a successful junior player and played in three of the four Grand Slam tournaments. He reached 14th place in the junior rankings in 2009.
In 2008 he played regularly with the professionals on the third-rate ITF Future Tour and placed in the world rankings . In 2009 he moved into the world's top 1000 singles. In 2010 he won his only three futures titles in singles and finished the year with 530th place on his best season-end rank. During these years he competed under the Slovenian flag, and in 2011 he returned to the Croatian flag. In 2011 he tried to qualify more often at Challengers or for the first time at tournaments of the ATP World Tour , which he rarely won. He had his only appearance on the World Tour thanks to a wildcard in Umag , where he lost to the side of his compatriot Toni Androić in the first round. He reached his career high with 466 in singles in July 2011 and 699 in doubles in September 2009. In 2012 and 2013 he won very few matches and fell out of the top 1000 in the world, whereupon he ended his career. Since then he has only played tournaments sporadically.
