Borys Martos
Borys Mykolajowytsch Martos ( Ukrainian Борис Миколайович Мартос , born May 20, 1879 in Hradysk near Kremenchuk , Poltava Governorate , Russian Empire ; † October 19, 1977 in Bound Brook , New Jersey , USA ) was a Ukrainian politician and economist. He was a member of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Workers' Party ( Ukrajinska Sozial-Demokratichna robitnytscha partija, USDRP ). Borys Martos was general secretary of the Zentralna Rada in 1917/18 , then held the post of finance minister in the Ukrainian governments of Volodymyr Chekhivskyj and Serhiy Ostapenko between January and April 1919. After the last of them resigned on April 9, 1919, he took over the post of President of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian People's Republic , which he held until August 29, 1919.
Borys Martos died in Bound Brook , USA and is buried in the cemetery of St. Andrew Memorial Church in South Bound Brook .
