Hradysk ( Ukrainian Градизьк ; Russian Градижск Gradischsk ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 6500 inhabitants (2014).

The village, founded in the middle of the 17th century, has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1957.

geography

Hradysk located in Rajon Hlobyne on the north bank (left bank) of the kremenchuk reservoir dammed Dnepr on the trunk road N 08 33 km northwest of Kremenchuk . The Oblastzentrum Poltava is located 145 km north-east and the Rajonzentrum Hlobyne located 28 km northeast of Hradysk.

In addition to the SsT itself, the settlement council municipality with a total of about 8400 inhabitants also includes the villages Hanniwka ( Ганнівка ), Kotljarewske ( Котляревське ), Lisky ( Лізки ) and Seredpillja ( Середпілля ).

On the southern outskirts of the village, on the banks of the Kremenchuk reservoir, there is Mount Pywycha , a geological and historical reserve.
