Tschutowe ( Ukrainian Чутове ; Russian Чутово Tschutowo ) is an urban-type and the administrative center of the same Rajons in eastern Poltava , Ukraine with about 6,000 inhabitants (2016).

Tschutowe is located on the Tschutiwka (Ukrainian Чутівка ), a small tributary of the Kolomak , which in turn flows into the Vorskla .

The Oblastzentrum Poltava is on the highway M 03 / European route E40 km to 54 in southwestern direction to reach and the city Walky on itself road 38 km to the northeast.

history

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1743. On October 13, 1941, Chutowe was occupied by Wehrmacht troops and liberated by Red Army troops on September 20, 1943 . Since April 13, 1957, Chutove has the status of an urban-type settlement.

Tschutowe is the administrative seat of the Rajons of the same name, founded in 1923. The Rajon Tschutowe is located in the eastern part of Poltava , bordered to the north and the east by the Kharkiv Oblast . It has 23,700 inhabitants and an area of ​​861 km². The population density is 28 inhabitants per km².
