Komyschnja

Komyschnja ( Ukrainian Комишня ; Russian Камышня Kamysnya ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Poltava with about 2,300 inhabitants (2014).

The village, founded in the 16th century, received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1957.

geography

Komyschnja is located west of the bank of the Khorol in the Myrhorod district, 28 km north of the Myrhorod district center and about 130 km northwest of the Poltava oblast center .

In addition to the urban settlement itself, the settlement council also includes the villages of Buluky ( Булуки ), Lisowe ( Лісове ), Stupky ( Шульги ) and Schulhy ( Горбани ).
