The Chorol ( Ukrainian Хорол , Russian Хорол ) is a right tributary of the Psels with a length of 308 km.
description
It rises in the north of the Poltava plateau on the territory of the Ukrainian Oblast Sumy . From there it flows in the upper and middle reaches in a southerly direction, where it cuts deeply into the Poltava plateau in the middle reaches. In the lower reaches of the river it changes its direction of flow to the southeast and flows into the Psel in the Poltava Oblast .
Larger towns on Khorol are Lypowa Dolyna , Myrhorod and the town of the same name Khorol . In 1185 the Russian princes Rurik and Svyatoslav were able to win a victory over the Kyptschaken on the banks of the river .
