Beijing Botanical Garden (Beijing Zhiwuyuan)

The Beijing Botanical Garden or Beijing Botanical Garden ( Chinese  北京 植物园 , Pinyin Běijīng Zhíwùyuán ) is a botanical garden on the northwestern edge of Beijing in the Haidian district between Xiangshan Park and Jade Spring Mountain (玉泉 山) in the Western Hills . It was founded in 1956 and covers around 400 hectares, 200 of which are open to visitors.

The complex of buildings of the Temple of the Sleeping Buddha ( Wofo si ), the grave of the reformer Liang Qichao , the Chinese Bee Museum (Zhongguo mifeng bowuguan) and the Cao Xueqin Museum (Cao Xueqin jinianguan) are located on its premises .
